Did anyone do roughly 17 double-takes upon seeing a mention in AutoWeek
that the rotary-powered Viking Lotus Seven replicas have been 'approved
for SCCA ProSolo II'?

Not that I have any opinion on the decision, I was just amazed to see
it in AutoWeek, right there along with all the other industry news. Up
front even, not in the Competition section in the back.

Of course, I still don't understand what has been approved, since you
could have run one in National Series E Mod anyway, and no class or series
information was mentioned. I can't find anything about it at http://scca.org.
OTOH, that site seems to be updated bi-annually, and the ProSolo FAQ still
refers to the 'Club' class. In fact, my Peru confirmation card listed me
in 'Club' class, too.
