Cliff,
You don't find the wheel base to be tad short? How large a trailer, what
type? I towed a with an 89, and the 5.8 liter, I agree the power and tourque
was fine, and the short WB made it great to manuever a trailer, but........
The short wheel base also made life interesting going down hill, especially
when couled wiuth the high CG. I towed a two horse trailer, with front tack
room, and then also an 18 foot flat bed with race car and stuff. The horse
trailer was probably pushing the limits of stable towing (no pun intended),
and the rig required load stabilizers, which helped. The race car rig wasn;t
so bad.
IMHO, I would'n recommned the Bronco for safe towing because of the WB/high
CG factors, at least for a any sort of serious weight. Otherwise, I did like
the truck just fine.
