a local AZ Region member was bouncing off the rev limiter on his '93 Z28 in
several spots on his 1st run. He short shifted to 3rd to avoid it. I don't
know how fast a 93 Z is with a stock drivetrain at that rpm.
I personally was a little uncomfortable with the higher speeds, being used
to smaller courses and not having run Wendover for a while ;-) ... plus
trying to figure out pressures for the new tires, plus not having driven
Glenn's car for a year, plus ... okay these are *some* of the reasons FS
PAX'd so low .... at least I didn't have the flu like I did last year
I didn't think that that course would've been a good intro for a newbie and
wondered about the kids in the karts that were *averaging* nearly 50mph on
the 1.1 mile course
YMMV
IMHO
