In the DC Region, there is a regional road racing class called GT-Pinto (GTP). The goal was to form a low-buck GT class with identically (or at least similarly) prepared cars based on something that is readily available and cheap at junkyards. They are really ugly (IMO) and sound awful, but the guys in that class seem to have a blast. Of course, like most racing, the front running guys end up with pro-built motors that really aren't that cheap. Brad Burns |
