It seems to be fairly well accepted that for dry autox, BFG and Kumho make
stickier tires than Toyo and Yokohama.
It is also fairly well accepted that you want the widest tires that you
can fit on your car legally.
So, which is more important: width or the stickier brands?
Which is better:
Yokohama A032R 255/40/17 with 9.5" tread and 10.1" section width?
OR
Kumho V700 245/45/17 with 9.1" tread and 9.6" section width?
Which is better:
Yokohama A032R 235/40/17 with 8.9" tread and 9.4" section width?
OR
Kumho V700 225/45/17 with 8.6" tread and 9.1" section width?
If you picked Kumho in these cases, what if the width difference was
larger:
Yokohama A032R 245/45/17 with 9.2" tread and 9.5" section width?
OR
Kumho V700 225/45/17 with 8.6" tread and 9.1" section width?
Thanks,
Brian
