Almost exactly my experience with Cheap Tickets. Then, I heard "hey,
that was 6 months ago..too bad".

Yes, that is the major problem there, but *if* you have some
flexibility, it can get you a cheap flight. And if you are within a 7
day period of flying, it may be one of your only cheap options.
