Well since I started this about the Non-R Miata's I guess
I will answer the question.  I have trophied in a non-R 
Miata (a '94 B package with everything including A/C
except leather and ABS).  I trophied at Nationals in '97 
and '98.  I took 14th in '97 and 8th in '98.  I also think 
Jeff Altenburg took 4th in '96 in an A package car.  So like 
I said it can be done.  

I also know that the car that Peter Raymond ran this year 
at nationals is a sports package (Jerry Benningtons car).
I don't know if he has changed to a different car this 
year.  

Like someone signature on Team.net says, like what you 
drive and drive it well!!!!
