The factory 15" are generally much heavier than the 14" rims. The
exception seems to be the 11.5# forged BBS rims from the '95
M-edition, though they are quite rare (there seems to be a set for
sale on the miata.net classifieds at the moment though).

This is probably the most cost-effective option. A friend of mine has
a attractive set of Koenig 15x7's on her '99 Sport and autocrosses on
her factory rims. The new American Racing Crossfire style the Neon
people are talking about is made in a 15x7 that fits the Miata as
well.
