Yes, been there done that (grumble).  You can't bring a 49 state car
in until you've owned it something like 90 days, and you have to pay a
$300 "smog impact fee."  This despite the fact that my 70k mile Taurus
SHO passed a California smog check with flying colors.  Fascist
bastards.
