Okay, so supposing the answer is that I do need a new rev limiter, what
should I buy? I'm amazed by the variety of choices out there.

I remember that Bill Smiley was selling some kind of fancy shift light --
can anyone point me to a web site describing that product?

I think maybe I'd prefer a rev limiter that takes a calibrated resistor
pack or something rather than something with a knob or potentiometer,
because then I could be sure that it's set right even if my tach isn't
right.

So what are the best legal rev limiter/shift light products out there
for C Modified?

Seems like a tach with a telltale, or maybe a recording tach, would be
helpful. I've resisted going with the recording tach because it seems
like an incomplete solution -- it doesn't record enough parameters, and
the right way to do data acquisition is much different -- and much more
expensive, in the $10,000 arena. But maybe a simple recording tach is
a less expensive, good enough approach. Anyone other than Gary or Dick
want to weigh in on that?
