That is exactly why this proposal has been made. Since CM cars do not have
the problem, I don't know why CM owners would even be concerned about it.
My FF has a functional reverse gear and linkage and will continue to have
one.
This issue is more closely related to a comfort and convenience issue. It is
more comfortable and convenient to not replace a $5000 FT200 gearbox CASE or
any of the internal parts just because the driver happens to make the
unfortunate acquaintance of reverse when at speed on course.
Keep in mind the proposal does NOT require the removal of reverse gear.
