Do both carbs flood?

Are you using an electric fuel pump? It might be set to too high a pressure.

What's the history on the Webbers? Did they run OK in the past? If so, what
changes have you made recently?

I have twin 40 webbers on my 67 Alpine the problem I have is that if I drive
the car until it's fully warm it will start to miss on acceleration and if I
then leave the car for more that 10 minutes the carb has flooded and won't
start until I take the wing nuts off of the tops of carbs and let it breath
for 10 minutes, I have tried to check the float levels I think they are right
any one have any ideas
