I just bought a hardtop for my '67 Alpine V a few weeks ago, and got
it in place last night.
I don't see where the rear turnbuckles are supposed to hook into --
there's a horizontal bar about the right diameter and about a
half-inch long, looks like part of the ragtop assembly, behind the
chrome behind the door. It looks as if the turnbuckle fits pretty
close through a corner-notch on that and might be able to hook that
rod -- zat it?
By the way, I ran up to San Francisco to look at the hardtop on
craigslist -- someone had been storing beer cans in it, and lots of,
shall we say, "fluid" was between the top and the headliner. So it was
free to anyone who didn't mind installing a new headliner ..
