I believe the Tiger had to be downgraded to rack and pinion, to allow the engine to fit. I'm not sure if it's been done on an Alpine, but it should be possible to copy the Tiger layout. I say downgrade, because I'm a fan of the sophistication of the recirculating ball type personally. Julian.
