Make sure the slave cylinder is installed the right way up - bleeder at 
the top, pipe at the bottom. Other than that, the suggestion to toss 
the return spring is another possibility.

Let us know what you find. We are a competitive bunch - we need to know 
who hits jackpot and who is an also ran ;-)
