I too am very sorry to hear about the Tiger, but glad you see the bright
side of no harm to you or your son.
My first car when I was sixteen was a Hillman Minx. I never really trusted
the "Jinx" as my dad endeared it and thought the fire extinguisher in the
cubby box looked "cool". When a connecting rod shot through the side of the
block one afternoon while motoring down the freeway spraying oil all over
the exhaust pipe, which then erupted into an engine compartment fire, that
little fire extinguisher saved the old Hillman. Ever since I've owned an
Alpine I've carried one. Thanks for the advice though. I recently acquired a
Jensen Interceptor and that will get one tomorrow too.
Hope you're back in a Tiger someday soon.
