Hi, The parts book lists a rubber washer as part of the hood stay components for Series III and onward cars. This is in addition to the spring washer and plain washer. What is the rubber washer, what is it for and where is it applied on the stay assembly? Also, the hood side of the stay rod has a hole in it on my car. I don't recall what the hole is for, presumably a cotter pin? Why? I know the body side accepts a cotter pin but what about the hood side? Thanks! Frank B9471116 |
