He hit it right on the nose with the brake fluid, in years past, i managed to 
freeup a frozen  morris mionor engine block with brake fluid. had to let it sit 
for a week or more, but the engine turned freely when done. the brake fluid 
will ruin pot metal parts if left imersed too long. the pistons did show some 
minor pitting, but the engine ran fine after a minor rebuild.

another great rusty part disolver, is a product called TASCON, which is the 
chemical that they use to put the odor in natural gas. ( can be hard to get)
