To convert to silicone, it is more than just dismantling all the bits, new rubber etc, including the servo, if present. To make the switch, you would also need to flush out all components, and tubing/flexible hoses. All traces of the old DOT fluid have to be removed. Having said that. I've often been tempted, but for the moment content myself with flushing the sytem through with new DOT4 fluid at least every 2 years. Julian. |
