As a former Mercury Marine dealer, I can tell you that if
you have difficulty finding them, they are used in Mercury
Outboard Motors and MerCruiser Sterndrives. If you are
having trouble finding them and have one of these dealers
nearby, try them. But you will probably have to pay quite
a bit more than if you could find them at an auto parts
store.
They are also used quite often in snowmobiles and
motorcycles.
Mercury Marine found NGKs to be a very reliable spark
plug in its engines. Champions are known to work very
poorly in the "polar gap" configuration, common in outboard
motors.
