My wife and I were driving home from a car club event when we met a female
moose standing broadside to us on the road. Two things here I would like to
share with the other "Piners".
1. Alpines can stop VERY quickly when 500 foot tons of pressure are applied to
the brake pedal.
2. Moose are much bigger than Alpines (think of the biggest horse you have
ever seen, on steroids).
Fortunately, just as we were screeching to a halt almost under her belly, she
turned and jumped into the ditch, clipping the front bumper on her way with a
rear hoof. No damage.
