That's true Russ, Bob Menzies (Prime Minister from early '50s to 1966) loved
everything British and had Super Snipes as Commonwealth Cars for ferrying
politicians around -same job that Statesmans (Statesmen?) are used for
today.  He had a Rolls ComCar  for himself and apparently also owned a
Wolseley 24/80 (unique model to Aus).  I doubt Bob would have fitted into an
Alpine!
