If not from a "Rootes" source, how about "Fatsco" transmissions here in
Fairfield, NJ??

Subject: speedo drive gear

hello Tom, I have a 1964 Series IV Alpine ID no. 94100410 with a
factory installed Borg-Warner T-35 A/T. I am in need of the speedo
drive gear that is located on the output shaft of the transmission. the
B/W serial number is 3EP2224 and the Rootes part number is : 1216794.
The dia. of the shaft is 1.003 in. and .500 in wide. The gear is held
in place by a circlip. The gear appears to have a RH helix. Would you
possibly have one and any info as to where I might be able to obtain
this gear. The pinion worm is 13T-LH. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you. Don Geleta Valley Springs, CA e-mail
