Not calling into question your mechanical prowess, but it's a quick check
before pulling the head off....

The new electric fan is moving air the right way isn't it? I mean it is
pulling/pushing air through the radiator into the engine bay, and not trying
to blow it out the front grille opening.

I know, I know, but worth a quick check. I'm like that, after helping my
young brother change his blown trans only to find he'd blown the diff, not
the trans!
