A 12v fuel cut solenoid will only work on a carburetted car.
Put on an an injected car and you will ruin your fuel pump.
Battery cutoff switches also are bad for contemporary automobiles.
Most engine management systems get "stupid" when power is lost
from the vehicle. They have to run in a default mode for some
time to re-learn what it really takes to make the engine run right.
