Christopher:
Try runing a wire bypassing the stablizer and see what happens. If the
stabilizer is bad, and you wire around it, I think the temp and fuel guages
will probably peg all the way to the right (since they're getting full
voltage), then go back to the left when you re-connect it. Now that I think
about it, my last Alpine had the exact same problem once. (fuel and temp
inoperable but the tach did still work). A replacement stabilizer did not solve
that problem. (Maybe it was bad out of the box). Out of desperation,I ended up
re-installing the "failed" stabilzer and played around with changing the
positions of the wires going into the stabilizer. I don't think you can hurt
anything by doing this. Anyone on the list feel differently? Anyway, for
absolutely no logical reason, (I still have no idea why it worked) this solved
the problem and  the guages worked perfectly for a couple of years until I sold
the car.
