Christopher:
A few ideas to check.
Is your tach working or not? I had this happen in my Tiger a couple of years
ago (tach, fuel and temp. guages suddenly inoperable). The fuse was blown,
as you describe. I replaced the fuse. Still no guage operation. Then I
cleaned the terminals (prongs) that the fuse presses into, which had become
corroded. I just used a screwdriver to scrape off as much corrosion as I
could. That solved the problem and the guages came back to life.
Do the illumination bulbs for both guages still light up? If not, the ground
wire could have come off, although I don't think that by itself would cause
guage operation to stop. Those two guages (and the electric tach) are wired
in line, though, so make sure all wires are still connected, and the nuts
holding the guage brackets behind the dash are all tight. Also, the guage
voltage regulator (that piece behind the dash) could have gone bad (I've had
this happen a couple of times), or one of the wires going to it could have
come loose. Either event would have the effect you describe.
Good luck
