For anyone considering a Mazda conversion, I would say the car Armand
mentioned looks worth checking out. I have no personal affliliation with the
owner or this car, etc.. but the pictures make the body look nice and the
overall installion of the engine looks nicely done. I would think you could
buy a nicely done project and a body in good condition for about what a good
conversion alone would cost. You might end up spending a little more if you
make many refinements to the installation, but it would sure save a lot of
time.

It looks like they are using the water cooled oil cooler mounted at the base
of the oil filter. Various materials I have read suggest the ealier series
RX-7 oil cooler that mounts next to the radiator is the preferred choice.
You want to have an efficient oil cooling system, as this plays a greater
part in the cooling of the engine than in a piston engine. As far as I am
aware, Mazda only made a 12A and 13B rotary engine. This car is listed with
a 12B. I would want to clarify that with the owner. The 12A works fine in my
car, but the 13B does give a little more horsepower and the choice and
availability of parts is greater.

I wish I had room to get a brother for my Series I.
