Off topic - 110V electrical help

Hi all,
Nil Alpine content sorry.

The powers of the web have failed me. Can anyone tell me what is the
wiring scheme for the US domestic plug? For example, when looking at the
pins, is the active (live) on the left or right? (Maybe this is part of
the entrance exam ;-)
