That is an interesting way to look at it, the question is-what were the
ratios? Obviously if the "power ratio" was 4.0:1 but the "regular" ratio was
3.50:1 you would effectively have an "overdrive" in the 3.50:1

That what I was thinking. I talked to a serviceman at a Dodge dealership I
know. What he told me was the Dodge Colt did have a 2-speed rearend but the
final ratio did not give you an overdrive but provided more power at the low
range of the gears.
