Alt warning Lamp

Working further on the S5 and to my previous questions, I noticed the
alternator warning light on the dash never goes out. According to the
manual, it lights when starting and then stays lit until the alternator
fails to charge at low rpms if I read the description correctly. Do I
have this relay wired incorrectly and is it possible it is connected to
the other problems I am having with the alt not charging above 12.42
volts? Thanks Brent
