That was probably a Series I Husky.  The same box was used in the Series I &
II Minxes.  Basically it was a "wide ratio" 4 speed as opposed to the "close
ratio" 4 speed used in the Alpines.  Beware of the Series III Minx (and Series
II Rapier) box- this is essentially a 3 speed box- 1st and 2nd are almost the
same ratios.  It was designed for the car to start in second gear.

I reckon this box is from a post 68 van, and someone has most likely retro
fitted the overdrive, (unless it was an option) The diff on my commer is a
5.6 (with 15 inch wheels), but with a tail wind blowing 55mph is definitely
"I wish I had an overdrive" territory.
