Rob,
        It wasn't fun for you because one really needs the correct puller. The
puller that Ian and I use, is a professionally made hub puller. Did you
check at the tool rental store to see if they would rent one? Homemade
pullers, slide hammers and 4ton hydraulics doesn't come close to what is
required. The machine shops are not that good either. I have seen shop
workers mushroom the threaded end of the shaft, almost scraped the whole
axle. Be careful where you send it and who works on it.
