The whole story on that one is that they wanted Ferrari to design a head for
them that used the Weber carb setup like they did for the lotus elan. lotus
had a head with integral manifold that was standard with Zenith Strombergs.
They eventually swapped it for the head with webers. Increased performance
considerably! sunbeam wanted the same, but never got it. Lou
