It is true that, when you buy a car in the States, you get a SEPARATE
warranty card for your tires and that the tires are warranted by the
manufacturer of the tire, not the manufacturer of the vehicle. It's
much the same with a new home. For example, the manufacturer of your
new home would not cover the breakdown of your A/C unit, the
manufacturer of the A/C unit would do that. On the other hand, if your
walls start to crack just after you move in, the manufacturer of the
home would cover that.
