We had to pull the engine out and do a rebuild (ouch!!!)

Left the tran in because, well, seemed like a good place to store it! the c=
ar is sitting on an EZLift with a 2x4 across holding up the tran

Engine is coming back this week, and I=E2=80=99m thinking if I move the tran=
back a few inches (disconnect the driveshaft and tran mount), then we can s=
lide the tran back into the engine.
=20
The engine is really easy to remove w/o the tran and I=E2=80=99m thinking it=
should just drop right back in. we=E2=80=99ve done the tran R&R so many ti=
mes we should be able to slide it back into the engine. I just don=E2=80=99=
t want to go through the hassle of pulling the tran and then trying to insta=
ll them together, trying to get the tran under the scuttle then back into th=
e car. Seems like way too much work when I think this will work.
=20
Does this make sense or am I missing something? The seats, dash support, an=
d tunnel cover are still out. carbs and exhaust manifold will be installed a=
fter engine is in place.
