The rear deck panel was the first area I had to have touched up after I=
bought the car back in 1989. My top actually seemed to seal pretty well e=
specially around the windows. It definitely stiffened the car up =96 less =
scuttle shake, less twisting over bumps. But it=92s a convertible=85 that=
=92s why the hardtop hasn=92t been on the car in over 31 years.

One of the ways your TR6 will be transformed is the potential for scratches=
on the rear deck panel from the hard top riding on that rear panel. I quic=
kly got rid of my hardtop because of that problem. You can try to protect t=
he paint will a barrier of sorts but then the hardtop won't seal properly. =
The hardtop does make the TR6 look like a cool GT car but it is a semi perm=
anent with pluses and minuses and the rear deck may suffer.
