Yes, not one of the more popular lists. I've been pruning down the list
of lists at team.net, dropping ones that have seen no traffic for at
least a year. It is currently down to just under 40, from a max of
close to 70. Check out http://autox.team.net/mailman/listinfo to see
which are still active. Bacl when team.net was one of the only choices,
some of the busy lists would see over 100 posts a day, sometimes the
autocross list would see several thousand in August, the month before
SCCA Solo II Nationals. When I attended that eveni in 1997 with the
Killer Spit, something like 70% of the 1,100 entrants were subscribed
to the the autocross list here. But now everybody and his dog has some
web site, forum, whatever on line, many choices. But team.net is still
on the air, hope to keep it that way for years to come.
The three busiest lists currently are probably healeys, spridgets and
triumphs. There should be a link at the bottom of each message, or near
the top if you get the digest, that points to the archives, one can
check out traffic on other lists there. Basically, the more people that
use the list, the more people use that list. Kind of a strange
sentence, but I think you know what I mean.
Anyway, I can't really do anything about making lists more popular, all
I can do is keep the system up and running, available for those who wish
to make use of it and appreciate what a resource it is.
