I think I am on the younger end of the curve here - when my '73 Stag was on
the production line I was no more than a glint in the milkman's eye, and by
the time my '75 TR6 hit the streets I was only just walking. My first
Triumph was a TR7, which was only 16 years old when I bought it, fresh out
of universtity at 21. Drove that car every day (well, every day when it
wasn't in pieces on my driveway) for 5 years, then went all sensible and
modern with a Fiat Barchetta.
While the DMV has the cars in my name, technically these aren't my cars; the
TR6 belongs to my elder daughter, now 4, and the Stag is my younger
daughter's car - she is only 18 months old, but both cars were purchased
when the girl was under 6 months old - does that count?
I am just enjoying the feeling of being one of the young ones!
Cheers
Alistair
