But we're "Triumph People" - we'd rather spend 30 hours pulling our hair
out than to spend $10 for a proper repair.

I'm with Irv.
There's no reason to modify a needle unless it's Sunday on a 20 day
weekend and you "gotta get home". Re-profiling a needle in my book is
about as unnecessary as drilling out Weber jets. Yes, you CAN do it, but
WHY?
