6-Pack List,
I developed a sudden problem while attending the VTR Convention. Not having a
shifting problem whatsoever before and during my 10 trip to Valley Forge, I
suddenly developed a problem (inability) to shift into 1st gear when the
engine was running. I have no problem shifting into 1st when engine not
running/ In fact that's how I got home. Shifting into 2nd, 3rd, 4th and OD
is no problem once I'm into 1st.
My clutch has no more than 1000 miles on it, I have the Gunst throw-out
bearing we bought as a group purchase from the list and have drilled and
reinforced the clutch fork pin and hydraulics seem fine. Have not taken the
tranny out yet but thought someone could offer some insight first. If it
turns out to be the clutch, this will be my 4th replacement in 7 years, So,
something is going on.
