Mike, A car that cuts out briefly in left turns only sounds like fuel surge from an older, unbaffled fuel tank. Ask any TR250 owner about that. Does it only occur with about 1/2 tank of fuel or less? Triumph modified the fuel tank in the later cars to fix this. I may be wrong but I think the various devices found between the carbs and the valve cover are oil separators, not flame traps.
