Hi Richard,
I have a similar set up, competition springs with Koni's in the front &
the VB tube shock conversion in the rear with KYB's. The KYB gas shocks
should not raise the car at all. The pressurized shock barely has enough
pressure to extend the piston and should not exert enough force to
actually raise the car. The Spax or Koni are adjustable so you should be
able to dial in your range of ride & control. Unfortunately I don't know
the conversion numbers of the Koni or Spax but if you or another lister
does, a posting to the list would be good info.
