Hey Guys,
I took the rear #4 main bearing cap off today and it doesn't look good! Have a
look at the pictures of the wear on the main bearing cap. Also the rear-most
part of the crank appears very worn as well. From the looks of things, these
parts have been running this way for quite some time. You can also see that the
end float is beyond excessive, nearly a quarter of an inch? (It's a wonder that
the clutch worked at all!)

Are both the engine block and crank shaft trashed beyond repair?
Does anyone have any pics of how this area is *supposed* to look?
I guess I've learned my lesson about checking up on the end float on a TR6
engine.
