Hmm. I hadn't thought about how the glazing might influence the
outcome. Mine was a piece of cake, and I used a seal from Moss. Maybe
that is why it was so easy? I did it with no help on the first try,
using the procedure in the Moss catalog.

Subject: RE: windshield adventures
My only windshield experience was with the only part from TRF I've ever
sent
back. I tried and tried with no luck getting it in. Took it to my
mechanic,
and he laughed at the seal and said it was the worse quality seal he'd
ever
seen. This guy didn't like TRF and laughed when he heard where I got it.
He
had an original seal in stock, and after warning me that my chipped
windshield may crack when installing, he slipped it right in fine with
no
problems. Said it was the worse looking windshield he'd ever put in, but
I
didn't want to get a new one unless absolutely necessary. I wrote a
letter
to Runyan with the return.
