List---Industrial hydraulic presses usually come with sets of < > blocks
to support flanged shafts for most of their circumference. The local
NAPA store in my town does this job for $5 per axle. Most come apart
using around 10 tons. The last one I gave them took 15 tons (I've had
several done) after soaking in penetrating oil and leaving it in the
press overnight. The shop guy said was apart when he opened up the next
morning. The price was right, and a proper support kept the flanges
true.
