If the shifter is rotating one or both of the locating pins on either side of the shifter collar are misadjusted. In order to re-adjust these threaded pins you must remove the transmission cover. You then can screw the pins in until the shifter works properly, but does not bind and tighten the lock nut(s). See Bentley or Haynes manuals for detailed instructions. Bob Rochlin '72 TR6 |
