        Ray:

The power does not go *THROUGH* your wiper switch, it goes *TO*
the
wiper switch *FROM* the hot terminal on the voltage stabilizer.
If the voltage stabilizer, AND the flasher, AND the wiper switch
are
not getting power the most likely culprit is a blown fuse since all
of these are on the same fused circuit.
Check the fuses with your ohm meter (don't rely on a visual
check).
Assuming that your DPO has not buggered the wiring, it will be the
bottom
fuse in your fuse block. It is always possible that the wiring has been
rearranged, so check them all.
If the fuse checks out, make sure you have power to the hot side
of the
fuse (the white wire). If the white wire is hot, and the fuse is OK,
then
there is an open somewhere. Probably a corroded connection on the fuse
box,
so disconnect the ground strap on the battery, then clean the fuse box
connectors
with fine emery cloth, and GENTLY crimp the spade connectors before
slipping them
back on the fuse box. They should be a FIRM press fit.
If that doesn't do it, reconnect the ground strap and make sure
that the
spade connectors for the green wires from the fuse block are hot. If
they
are, and there is still no power to the flashers, you have an open
somewhere
between the fuse block and the wiring harness junction for this circuit.
The junction is the location in the wiring harness where the
single
green wire that feeds through the firewall splits off into 5 separate
green
wires for the VS, backup lights, heater fan, brake lights, and
hazard/turn
flashers.

Hey guys,

I'm having electrical issues; shocker I'm sure.. I've been following it
backwards from the direction flasher. It isn't getting power. I've made
it to the voltage stabilizer, which isn't getting 12volts. According to
my Bentley book my '72, power goes from the battery to the windshield
washer switch? and then to the V.S.??? Is that right? I'm not getting
any power at the washer switch either. Is there something between the
switch and the starter (as the batter goes to one terminal on the
starter and out to the car from there) Either a distribution point or
something? Or does the power NOT go through the washer switch?

Help!

Ray
