Friends:
This is not an unusual event. Thieves cluster around car shows like flies on
s---. Plenty of high value targets, easily driven away with - literally. Last
summer my cousin had a $12,000 enclosed trailer AND his $35K Chevy dualie
pickup stolen in Wichita, KS. Fortunately his prize winning custom 1940 Ford
coupe was not in the trailer at the time.
Everyone needs to be very cautious around car show events, sadly. That friendly
fellow asking you about your car may actually be sizing you up for a rip-off.
Be very careful at these events.
