Alex---If the starter first failed on you after a long run and the engine comartment was hot, the starter could be at the end of its life. If it failed even when everything was cold, it could be as you thought...a poor connection at the starter itself. (But you said you cleaned them all) I would try to park the car where it would be possible to push-start it if necessary for a while, till confidence was restored. Dick |
